Rats.

Well, it took nearly six months, but I have now been rejected by every single one of the places that I submitted my last short story to. Sigh...

Well hey...you get a big pat on the back from me for having the guts to put it out there! I'm still scared to death by the idea of anyone anywhere *reading* any of my fiction, let alone potentially rejecting it. I'm still at a stage where I put a piece of paper over what I'm writing when out in public, for fear of someone catching a glimpse. I'm attempting a fiction piece for the typewriter journal, but it's making me so nervous I may chicken out and do something else.

So I say you done good! Just have to try again! You can do it--go Mike!

Awww, at least you did it. I can't even finish something let alone get the giant cahones to send it out!

No worries, be happy! (or something like that)

Thanks guys. I'm used to the rejection (after all, isn't that what being a writer's all about?) but still, it doesn't take the sting out of opening that envelope and seeing that one sheet of paper with a two-line missive.

But that's life in the big city, right?
